If we stand together do we win together?
September 24th a freeport teacher was placed under investigation for a racially insensitive assignment that she issued to three of her classes. As reported by News 12 "A student's grandmother uploaded photos of the assignment on Facebook Sept. 20, claiming her granddaughter's friend was asked by her teacher at J.W. Dodd Middle School to write "funny" captions or titles on several black-and-white photos of slaves".
Tuesday October 1st Parents and community members from across the Island come together to protest asking for removal of this teacher not just reassignment by the Freeport School District. (Read the article featured on News 12)
