Long Island University honors Love Sessoms at their Annual Fundraising Gala

The Annual Long Island University Gala acknowledges alumni and extraordinary individuals who have made remarkable contributions to both their careers and the university. Last year, the university successfully raised over $1 million to support student scholarships, and they aspire to surpass that amount this year. The gala will feature a live performance of "Love One Another," along with a video tribute from John Legend and more.

It was a beautiful event taking place at the The Plaza Hotel (Central Park South at Fifth Avenue New York City) With Emmy Award Winning hosts from @77wabcradio Rita Cosby and Ernie Anastos. Honorees included Eric L. Adams, 110th Mayor of New York City, / Love Sessoms, Co-Founder and Secretary, A Soulful Heart Memorializing George Floyd, Jr., and Actress / Rao S. Anumolu, ASR International Corporation / Gerald Chasin, North Shore Equestrian Center and the Chasin Group and Sharon Sternheim, Zitomer.

A Soulful Heart Memorializing George Floyd, Jr. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing racial justice, empowering communities, and fostering transformative change. By means of education, advocacy, and community involvement, the organization aims to honor George Floyd, Jr.'s memory and work towards a more just society. A Soulful Heart made a generous donation of One Million Dollars to LIU and their efforts to include underserved students in attaining higher education.
